How We Work

From business problem to benefits realisation

This is a lifecycle, not a sequence of purchases you have to commit to up front. Engagements can start small and stop cleanly โ€” a bounded assessment, a single reporting process, one project's controls. A solution that suits you may involve no duBizz at all; that is a legitimate outcome of the assessment, not a failure of it.

The Lifecycle

Nine stages, each ending in a decision

Each stage has a clear output and a decision point before the next one starts โ€” nothing carries forward on momentum alone.

1

Business problem

Agree the problem actually worth solving and its business consequence.

Decision at the end: Is this worth a structured assessment?

2

Assess

Review current controls, process, data, systems, governance and capability, and establish a baseline.

Decision at the end: Agree the priority problem and its baseline.

3

Advise

Set out feasible options โ€” including retaining and improving what you already have.

Decision at the end: Choose the option and the implementation route.

4

Take ownership

Convert the chosen option into a scoped, owned workstream with named accountability.

Decision at the end: Agree the engagement.

5

Implement

Roll out process, controls, governance cadence and reporting, with practitioners embedded in your environment.

Decision at the end: Accept that the agreed process works.

6

duBizz enablement

Where โ€” and only where โ€” the fit-gap assessment supports it, configure the platform to sustain the process.

Decision at the end: Confirm operational readiness.

7

Adopt

Train, support routine use, document process ownership and transfer capability.

Decision at the end: Evidence of routine use.

8

Measure

Review the agreed measures against the baseline and act on what they show.

Decision at the end: Stop, adapt or scale.

9

Benefits realisation

Validate business value with dependencies and attribution stated honestly.

Decision at the end: Where next, if anywhere.

Ownership, Defined

What "taking ownership" actually means

We break it into its parts because the word only means something once it's specific.

Ownership means

  • A named SkillPros workstream owner accountable for an agreed scope
  • Defined deliverables with written acceptance criteria
  • Agreed decision rights and a documented escalation route
  • An implementation plan we execute alongside your team
  • A documented handover to named ongoing owners on your side

Ownership does not mean

  • Unlimited accountability for outcomes outside our control
  • Responsibility for third-party vendors, or for specialist engineering and design outside our scope
  • A guarantee of savings, ROI, adoption or benefits
  • Replacing your PMO, project managers or commercial team

We state client dependencies openly before an engagement rather than after one: access to data and systems, availability of your people, timely decisions, and funding. Where any of those is constrained, it changes what can realistically be achieved โ€” and we say so at the point it matters.
